Healing Classrooms has been running since May 2022 with great success across the UK. To ensure this success leads to long-term and sustainable change in schools, we are launching our second cohort of Healing Classrooms Champions in May /June 2025.
We are looking for past participants to join us on our mission to create Healing Classrooms across the UK. HC Champions are teachers, LSAs, SENDCOs, SLT members and other key staff within schools who are willing to lead training for their peers, act as a point of contact between staff and the IRC and help instill HC techniques and knowledge across each classroom and learning space in their school.
Participants are expected to commit to:
1) attending the training of trainers 2-hour workshop online
2) leading HC Basics Course sessions for their school colleagues in-person (3x sessions of approx. 1 hour each)
3) attending four quarterly meetings online (approx. 1 hour each)
Please consider if you can commit to each of these before applying. You may want to speak with your leadership team to check if they can designate 3 staff meetings (of 1 hour each) for you to lead HC Basics training for your colleagues. All online meetings will take place after school from 4pm.
The IRC will provide all training resources including one printed handbook for each colleague joining your training sessions, HC slides, IRC trainer's manual and 1-1 support to help you prepare to deliver the training.
Individual respondents' names and responses will be kept confidential and will only be used for the purposes of the IRC-UK Education programme. Please also note, that all our programmes and resources are free.
