  • We require only one person from each group to complete this form. Once you have completed the form you will receive a second link which you can share with your group. Your group can book their sessions using this second form. 

  • Welcome to the IRC's community sponsorship training programme.

    This training is only for individuals based in the UK part of the Communities for Afghans (CfA) Community Sponsorship Scheme.

    This mandatory training is made up of the sessions listed below with more information on each of them available on our website - IRC Community Sponsorship. All sessions will be delivered online via Zoom.

    • An Introduction to Community Sponsorship (2 hours)
    • Safeguarding (2 hours)
    • The first 72 hours (2 hours)
    • Post Arrival - Ongoing Support (2 hours)
    • Trauma Informed care and Cultural Competence (2 hours)

    • You would like to discuss in person training options, please email communitysponsorshipUK@rescue.org, before completing this form. 
    • Your group has already completed training. In this instance please email communitysponsorshipUK@rescue.org to discuss options for refresher training. 
    • A member of your group has already completed this form.

  • Handbook delivery details

    As part of the training, IRC will deliver 1 physical copy of the training handbook. All other training participants from your group will receive a digital copy.

  • Booking Sessions

    This training has 6 sessions. Please choose the dates that work for you for each session. Where possible, try and complete the training in chronological order.

  • Please read the bullets below carefully before proceeding.

    • You can book all your training sessions using this form. All training is delivered live via Zoom.
    • All sessions are approximately 2 hours long. 
    • Reminders will be sent out 24 hours before the session starts.
    • Before booking, make sure you are able to attend each session on the scheduled dates. 
    •  It’s best to attend the sessions in the order they are listed. If that’s not possible, please aim to complete them in the closest order possible.
    • If you or your group have already completed previous training, you can request a refresher by emailing communitysponsorshipUK@rescue.org. 
    • If you’d like to discuss bespoke training for your group, please contact us at communitysponsorshipUK@rescue.org.
