  • Welcome to the IRC's community sponsorship training programme.

    This form will allow you to rebook any sessions you may have missed or select a few sessions if you are not required to complete the whole training.

    • Introduction (Only for Communities for Afghans Groups)
    • Safeguarding
    • The First 72 hours
    • Post Arrival - Ongoing Support
    • Trauma-informed care and cultural competence

  • Are you on the HO community sponsorship scheme or the CfA MHCLG scheme?*

  • * If you will be welcoming a family from Afghanistan and have a principal sponsor, you are most likely to be on the Communties for Afghan Scheme by MHCLG scheme.

    * If your family is not from Afghanistan, you are most likely on the Home Office Scheme.

  • Refresher Training

  • Please read the bullet points below carefully before proceeding:

    • All training is delivered live via Zoom.
    • All sessions are approximately 2 hours long. 
    • Reminders will be sent out 24 hours before the session starts.
    • Before booking, make sure you are able to attend each session on the scheduled dates. 
    • It’s highly recommended to attend sessions in the order they are listed. If that’s not possible, please aim to complete them in the closest order possible.
